CASCO — The Loon Echo Land Trust will host an Acoustic Sunset event at Hacker’s Hill at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31. Folk musician Andre Villoch will perform a one hour set of acoustic music while the sun sets beyond the White Mountains.
Famed for his dynamic vocal range and vivacious onstage wit and charm, Villoch is authentic and soulful and will have the crowd entertained throughout. With roots in opera, pop, gospel, bluegrass and folk, Villoch’s melodies convey his desire to make the world laugh and inspire the human soul.
A mainstay on the Michigan folk and indie circuit for over 10 years, Villoch has recently made Maine his new home. With a fan base all over the country, he has three albums to his credit.
There is a $10 per person ($5 for children) suggested donation at the door to benefit the protection and stewardship of Hacker’s Hill, a 27-acre scenic conservation preserve available for picnicking, kite flying, dog walking and much more.
Hacker’s Hill is located at the height of land on Quaker Ridge Road in Casco, accessible by Routes 302 and 11.
Visitors are invited to bring a picnic, drink and a lawn chair to the concert. In the event of rain, the event will be held the following day, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m.
