There will be exhibits and information tables from Vet Center mobile, Maine Veteran Homes, VA Clinic, United Ambulance, American Legion, Amvets, Disabled American Veterans, Franco American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and L & A Veterans Council.
Forms will be available for anyone who would like to place a name on the next stone, as well as applications for the Korean Medal or any other medal.
The official ceremony will start at 10 a.m. with the National Anthem, invocation, speeches by all five military branches which include Army and National Guard, Brig. Gen. James Campbell, Marine Corps Capt. Adam Sacahetti, Navy Capt. Robert Crowe, Air Force, and Coast Guard Cmdr. Troy Vest.
Government officials will also speak. They include U.S. Sen. Angus King, U.S. Congressman Michael Michaud, a representative of U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, Gov. Paul Lepage, Lewiston Mayor Robert Macdonald and Auburn Mayor Jonathan Labonte.
The ceremony also includes a memorial service and prayer, three volleys, taps, “Amazing Grace,” presentations of the Korean medals from Director of Veteran Services Peter Ogden and special certificates to all Korean veterans present.
Music will be provided by Nel Meservier on the keyboard and Just Us singers.
