LEWISTON — Ross Allen Leavitt, 59, of Auburn, passed away suddenly at Central Maine Medical Center on the morning of Saturday, July 20.

He was born in Limestone, Jan. 20, 1954, to his mother Hilda and father Alton Leavitt. For 34 years, he worked as a case manager for the state of Maine Department of Health and Human Services.

He served as a member of the Auburn School Board and was a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a bachelor of science in education.

He enjoyed hunting, camping at Moosehead Lake, car shows, movies and was an avid dog lover. Ross was very outgoing and valued making a difference in the lives of those around him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Patricia and their daughter, Rebeccah, both of Auburn; and his aunt, Sarah Seepe and her husband, William, of Boothbay Harbor.

He was predeceased by his parents.
