On May 11 Washburn Elementary School in Auburn had their fifth annual Family Fun Day. Community Credit Union adopted Washburn School in 2008. For the past five years, the credit union has donated a brand new bike and helmet for a deserving student in each grade level, kindergarten through sixth. The criteria for each grade varied in both behavioral and academic achievements and the students meeting the criteria were then entered into a drawing by the teachers and staff. This year’s bike recipients are Caylan Luce, kindergarten; Gage Stone, first; Branden Ritchie, second; Layla Gonzales, third; Tania Bachelder, fourth; Neveah Longchamps, fifth; and Jeremiah Gertch, sixth. First-grader Gage Stone is pictured with Monty Moose and Laurie Pelletier, Auburn Branch Manager.
