KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Michelle Leanne Luncsford graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville on May 10. Michelle received her degree in sociology with a concentration in environmental issues and globalization. After graduation, she moved to the Washington D.C. Metro Area with her fiance, Christopher Doubet.
Luncsford is the daughter of Samuel and Bernadette of Saint Francis, Kansas, and granddaughter of Laurilyn Sabin of Wilton, Scott and Cheryl Mills of Rumford, and Mike and Betty Luncsford of Peoria, Ill.
ITHACA, N.Y. — Amanda Martin, daughter of Jeanne and Dan Martin of Lewiston, graduated from Cornell University Class with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre and sociology with distinction in all subjects on May 26.
Martin achieved dean’s list all four years of college. She studied abroad in England her fall semester of senior year. Amanda acted in many plays with several lead rolls during her studies at Cornell. Her plans for the future are to leave for New York in the fall to pursue her acting career on the stage.
BIDDEFORD — Brianna Bisesti, daughter of Jim and Nancy Bisesti of Greene, has received recognition at the University of New England’s Annual Awards Ceremony on April 23.
She was awarded an undergraduate research and scholarship award for medicine and public health.
A 2009 graduate of Hebron Academy, Bisesti is a major in athletic training and is involved at the university in women’s hockey, residential advisor, Martial Arts Club, Trailblazer orientation leader.
NEWTON, Mass. — Kimberly Archibald of Lewiston received a bachelor of science degree from Lasell College during commencement exercises on May 19. Archibald majored in sport management.

NEWTON, Mass. — Sonya Buker of West Paris received a bachelor of art degree from Lasell College during commencement exercises on May 19. Buker majored in fashion design and production.
LISBON FALLS — Nancy Craig of Lisbon Falls recently received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Southern Maine and the University of Phoenix.
She is currently serving as school nurse at Lisbon Community School.
