WILTON — A Jay man was held Monday on $500 cash bail or a pretrial agreement on a charge of beating a Wilton man June 30.
Police arrested Kahner Dee, 18, on a warrant Friday after someone called them to report where he was, police Chief Heidi Wilcox said Monday. Wilcox went to a Farmington business where Dee was working and waited for him to finish what he was doing before she arrested him on a count of felony aggravated assault.
Juan Colon, 23, of Livermore Falls, is also wanted in the case and remains at large.
Colon faces the same charge. If anyone has information on his whereabouts, they are asked to call Wilton Police Department at 645-4222.
The two men and a third, Benjamin York, 18, of Jay, who was arrested July 2 on a charge of aggravated assault, are accused in the beating of Jason White, 43, of Wilton with a homemade club.
Wilton police had responded on a report of people fighting on Main Street and found White unconscious and lying on Main Street, bleeding from the head, Wilcox previously said. He was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington with a head injury and released the following day.
Colon is accused of repeatedly hitting White in the head with a homemade club, according to a Wilton police affidavit.
White drove by 23 Maxwell Road in Jay on June 30 when several men ran toward him, Jay police Detective Richard Caton IV wrote in an affidavit filed with the court. White threw a Molotov cocktail into the road, and the men chased him into Wilton, where he was assaulted, the document said.
White was arrested July 2 by Jay police on a count of felony criminal threatening.
