Unitil Corp. of Hampton, N.H., a provider of natural gas and electricity to customers in New England, has announced the 2013 recipients of the Unitil Scholarship Fund. The program was created in 2011 to support students who demonstrate outstanding potential for careers in science, technology, engineering or math. Five high school seniors from Unitil’s service territories in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts, who are pursuing degrees in these areas, will each receive $5,000 for their first year of undergraduate study. Lex Jimenez of Lewiston, a recipient and a graduate of Lewiston High School, plans to study electrical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
