DIXFIELD — The Police Department responded to 38 incidents over the past week. Among the incidents were the following:
Accidents
* At 10:20 a.m. June 3, a 2010 Jeep driven by Constance Beedie and a 2012 Ford truck driven by Dennis Rackliffe collided near a driveway on Norton Road. Pickett said both vehicles received front-end damage.
Complaints
* Between 7 and 8 p.m. June 1, police Chief Richard Pickett said he responded to a complaint about ATVs and dirt bikes being driven on Main and Third streets. Later, Pickett responded to another complaint of ATVs operating on a road that was marked private. Pickett pointed out that the town has ATV access routes and that they should be used in lieu of private property and residential areas.
“It makes it bad for people who are conscientious and follow the rules,” he said.
Parking
* On the evening of June 6, Pickett said he issued five parking citations for vehicles on Coburn Avenue, near Marble Park, due to inadequate parking.
“Some of these cars were parked almost out in the intersection,” Pickett explained, “and one of them was blocking a resident’s driveway. I remind people it’s a narrow area over there. Remember to be courteous and keep the path clear for residents and emergency vehicles.”
