WATERFORD — The Waterford World’s Fair will host the first Town of Waterford Community Yard Sale at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 15. At 11 a.m. an auction will begin.

The Flossie Cairns Craft building is overflowing with articles from two estates and a moving sale, as well as several beautiful homemade sweaters.

Anyone who would like to join in the fun can have their own yard sale. Outside space is free. The cost is $10 per table inside the dance hall.

The Waterford World’s Fair is accepting good used stuff. To donate to the fair can call Faylene at 743-6062 to make arrangements.

Vi’s Food Shack will be open with hamburgers and hot dogs and other good food that the ladies of the fair are noted for, especially mouthwatering pies.

At 8 p.m. there will be a dance with the Rockin Roadrunners from Buckfield. Admission is $10 per person.

Ron Hill is running Cow Chip Bingo, one for each day of the fair. Tickets for this event can be purchased at the yard sale. Each ticket is $5 for a square of your choice. How this will works is at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. the cow will be turned out into an enclosed area and the first place she delivers her precious poop, the person with that square will be winner. If all spaces are sold the lucky winner will get $250 and the fair will get $250. You do not have to be present to win.

The fairgrounds is at 36 Green Road, across the street from Melby’s Market on Route 35 in North Waterford.
