HARRISON — The Harrison Historical Society will celebrate its 50th anniversary from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9.
A scavenger hunt and tours of the museum and farmhouse will be held.
Homemade ice cream and cake will be served at 2 p.m.
Bring a memento to place in the time capsule, wear a 1960s outfit or drive up in a 1960s car or truck.
Hamlin summer reading program
PARIS — Hamlin Memorial Library’s Summer Reading Program will run from June 15 through Aug. 15. Every child who reads for at least 500 minutes will be awarded a free book of his or her choice. The top reader will win a $25 gift card to Amazon.com.
Stop by the library to pick up a reading log before June 15 if your child wishes to participate. Each child who participates will receive a voucher for free admission to a Portland Sea Dogs game.

Bridge games for Alzheimer’s
OXFORD — The American Contract Bridge League will partner with the Alzheimer’s Association to celebrate The Longest Day to help honor those living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.
The Oxford Hills Bridge Club will hold three games on Friday, June 21, at the Community Hall. The games will start at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
All levels of bridge will be accommodated. Lunch and dinner will be provided by local businesses.
All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

SeniorsPlus to visit area
NORWAY — SeniorsPlus, the Area Agency on Aging, will be at the West Paris Library from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the Norway Town Hall from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, and at the Rumford Town Office from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 26. Representatives will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns.

Teen dance at American Legion
PARIS — A teen dance featuring TJ the DJ will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, June 14, at American Legion Post 72, 12 Church St.
Admission is $6. There will be door prizes.
