HARRISON — A camper was destroyed in a fire Saturday night, according to Harrison Town Manager George “Bud” Finch.
Finch said the Harrison Fire & Rescue responded to 498 Naples Road for a reported fire in a mobile camper at 5:43 p.m. Saturday.
The first responders found found the vehicle stopped on the side of the road and fully involved. The fire was knocked down quickly, but the vehicle had already sustained significant damage.
Traffic was stopped in both directions for about 45 minutes and further delayed due to one-lane traffic while the vehicles were removed.
There were no injuries to the driver or occupants.
