Longley-Dionne VFW meeting
LEWISTON — The Longley-Dionne VFW Post 9150 Lewiston will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, May 20, at the Lewiston Armory.
All officers and members are encouraged to attend. Agenda will include activities for Memorial Day.
Cary Library book sale, boutique
WAYNE — Cary Library will hold a book sale and boutique from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 25, and Saturday, June 1, at the Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road, across the street from the Cary Library.
The book sale and spring boutique are ongoing. Coffee, tea, homemade muffins, scones and quiche will be for sale. Newspapers, including the New York Times and the Boston Globe, are available.
The Wayne Conservation Commission will be on hand to talk about the natural history of Wayne and the “Wayne Naturally” map display currently on exhibit. The Library Quilt is on view.
Proceeds will benefit the Williams House, a property of the Cary Library.
Road ride benefits LACO
DURHAM — A road ride to benefit Lisbon Area Christian Outreach Food Pantry and Clothing Bank will take place Saturday, June 1. Registration is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church UCC, 773 Royalsborough Road.
Registration fee is $10 or 10 non-perishable food items. The ride is open to any street-legal vehicle.
There will be surprises at each stop and lunch at the finish. There will be a prize drawing; must be present to be selected.
