Pine Cone potluck, meeting

AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star will hold a potluck and meeting Thursday, May 9, at the Masonic Lodge, 1098 Turner St. Supper is at 6 and the meeting is at 7.

There will be a guest speaker and program performed by the Rainbow Girls.

Resource fair at 100 Pine today

LEWISTON — The fourth annual wellness resource fair in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at 100 Pine Street Wellness and Recovery Center.

Topics will include housing, mental health and substance abuse, legal issues, medical support systems.

Lunch will be available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit the center.

The center offers a variety of mental health services to its membership. It has been providing services in the community for more than 25 years.

Driving Dynamics at Turner Adult Ed.

TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education will offer Driving Dynamics from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18.

Learn how to improve defensive driving awareness and abilities. Take part in discussions of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the challenges to drivers on Maine’s highways. Those who complete the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving records.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on May 6 were as follows: first, Priscilla Rooth and Jim Krainin; second, Mary Trafton and Luke Merry; third, Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements.
