WILTON — The Wilton Group will host two community presentations during May.
The first is an invitation to learn about and discuss the proposed ordinances that will be voted upon at the town meeting in June. The proposed ordinances pertain to building and property maintenance, consumer fireworks, disorderly properties and recycling and solid waste.
Those interested in learning more about the ordinances and their impacts should attend the discussion from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Comfort Inn & Suites Conference Room, 1026 US East Wilton.
The second presentation will be a Meet & Greet for the new selectmen and school board candidates. Each candidate will be introduced and there will be time allocated for questions and answers.
The event will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, also in the Comfort Inn & Suites Conference Room.
Both meetings are open to all Wilton residents, businesses and community organizations. Each program will run from 7 to 8 p.m. and there will be a social starting at 6:30, with beverages and snacks.
The group will accept questions in advance to prepare the agenda. To provide input, contact info@wiltongroup.org or make a suggestion on the Facebook page.
The Wilton Group president is Ray Jacques, PO Box 1134, Wilton, ME 04294. For more information, visit www.wiltongroup.org.
