LEWISTON — Erlon George Ricker, 81, passed away on April 21, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 3, 1931, in Litchfield, the son of Carrie and Everett Ricker. He attended Litchfield Academy and graduated in 1949. He plowed snow for Litchfield for many years, raised chickens, was the town fire chief, worked for the Maine Turnpike and was also a member of the Maine National Guard.

He was a member of Kora Shrine in Lewiston, Morning Star Lodge in Litchfield, Order of the Eastern Star, Mystic Chapter in Litchfield for many years, Litchfield and State Grange and the American Legion of Litchfield. He enjoyed golf, fishing, snowmobiling and cribbage.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Joycelyn Anderson and husband, Eric J., of Maryland; son, Rick Ricker and wife, Deanne, of Litchfield; daughter, Nancy Siegel and husband, Richard, of New Hampshire; and daughter, Sharon Heavener and husband, Paul, of Florida;

he had 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
