FARMINGTON — A Temple man who threatened to hit truckers with a metal pipe at Irving’s Big Stop on Sunday night was charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, according to a police report.

Truck driver Todd Dalrymple, 27, pulled into the Route 4 business and found the entire rear lot full of mostly JB Hunt tractor-trailers. He parked his in front of one of them, Rachel Heseltine, Farmington police secretary read from Sgt. Edward Hastings’ report.

Dalrymple later realized his was moved to a tow-away zone and thought one of the JB Hunt drivers hooked onto it and moved it, she said.

According to the report, Dalrymple went into the truckers’ break room with a 3-foot metal pipe and threatened to strike drivers and lights in the room.

Police were called to the scene at about 11:03 p.m. and arrested Dalrymple. He was released from Franklin County Detention Center on Monday on $1,000 unsecured bail.
