AUBURN — Marion MacDonald passed away March 9, at the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice after a long illness.
She was born in Rockland, Oct. 20, 1926, the daughter of Laura Small Marston and Evan Harlow Marston. Marion graduated from Edward Little High School in 1945, and continued her education at Auburn Maine School of Commerce.
She was employed by Central Maine Power Co. in Lewiston for many years. Marion was a gifted amateur photographer who was published in several national photography magazines. She also spent many hours painting and creating ceramic pieces for friends and family.
Marion and her husband, Dana, enjoyed the last 24 years of their life together at their home in Ocala, Fla.
She is survived by her brother, Richard and his wife, Janice, of Auburn; nephews, Barry Marston of Carver, Minn., David Marston of Hookset, N.H., Stephen Marston of Boston, Mass., Daniel Marston of Old Orchard Beach and Matthew Marston of Somerville, Mass.; and nieces, Rosemary Crump of West Jordan, Utah, Julie Marston of Center Barnstead, N.H., and Linda Pratt of Dover-Foxcroft.
Marion was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Dana in January of this year; and her brothers, Douglas, Harold and Robert.
