SUMNER — Clifford E. Lowe, 81, of Sumner, died Sunday, April 14, at home.
He was born in Sumner on Aug. 1, 1931, the son of Birchard and Zelda Farrar Lowe. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He married Janice M. Allanach on Sept. 18, 1954.
Clifford operated his own business and garage since 1954. He ran school buses for the district for 30 years and plowed snow for the town of Sumner for over 54 years. He enjoyed flying his plane, going to NASCAR races, collecting antique cars and going to the garage every day.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; daughters, Cathy Lowe of Hartford, Marianne Lowe and husband, David Lehtola, of West Paris, Gladys Russell and husband, Robert Russell Jr., of Hartford, Patricia Fournier and husband, Leslie Fournier, of Sumner, and Pamela Farrar and husband, Maynard Farrar, of Sumner; son, Earl Lowe and wife, Kim Lowe, of South Paris; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his mother and father; and two half brothers, Nelson Wing and Gerald Lowe.
