HARRISON – The Recreation Department is sponsoring the return of Challenger British Soccer Camp on Aug. 5-9 at the Radar Sports Complex on Route 117.

The program is geared toward three groups, ages 6-8, 9-14 and 3-5, Recreation Director Paula Holt said.

Holt said each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages and a tournament. The Challenger coaching staff provides children with lessons in self-discipline, good sportsmanship and respect for others and for the game, she said.

Campers will have a daily program of camp break activities and an end-of-camp graduation party.

According to Holt the popular program provides each camper with a free British Soccer Ball, camp shirt, giant fold-out soccer poster and a personal skills evaluation. Participants who sign up online before June 21 get a free British Soccer Game Jersey.
