Rumford Elks to install officers
RUMFORD — Installation of officers for 2013-14 for the Rumford Lodge of Elks No. 862 will take place on Saturday, April 6. Social hour will be from 4 to 5 p.m. with the installation of officers at 5.
A supper will be served at 6 p.m. consisting of a choice of chicken pie or meat pie made by Sandee Welch or fish tilapia, potatoes, carrots and string beans, rolls, coleslaw and dessert. Cost of the meal will be $8. Take outs will be available.
State president John Nicholson and first lady Tina May will be visiting the lodge.
SeniorsPlus to visit towns
PARIS/NORWAY/RUMFORD — SeniorsPlus, the Area Agency on Aging, will be at the West Paris Library from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 10; at Norway Town Hall from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 17; and at the Rumford Town Office from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 24.

Mexico High Class of 1948
MEXICO — The Mexico High School Class of 1948 will meet for their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Dick’s Restaurant.
Senior Center breakfast
RUMFORD — The Rumford Senior Center will host a breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13. The menu consist of pancakes, bacon, home fries, juice and coffee or tea. The cost is $4. Call 364-4700 by April 11 if you will be attending.
Dance to benefit Hope Association
RUMFORD — Hope Association will hold the Music for Hope dance from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 12, at 85 Lincoln Ave.
Join Fawn Maness and Noel Palmer for a few hours of dancing. Doors open at 5:30. Chem-free. Popcorn and beverages available. Donations at the door. All proceeds support Hope Association participants.
‘Green Church’ public supper
MEXICO — A public supper will be served at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Mexico Congregational Church, UCC (the “Green Church”).
The menu is roast pork, veggies and homemade pies. Take-outs will be available after 5:30 p.m.; call 364-8603. The price is $8 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
Peru School Friends supper
PERU — The Friends of Peru Elementary School will hold a public supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Peru Elementary School.
The meal includes beans, casseroles, hot dogs, cole slaw, breads and gingerbread with topping.
The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children 5 and under.
There will also be an indoor yard sale and a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds will benefit the Peru Community Center.
Crafters wanted for Hope sale
RUMFORD — Crafters are wanted for the Anything Goes Spring Craft Fair and Indoor Lawn Sale to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Hope Association, 85 Lincoln Ave.
Table rentals are $10 for a 9-foot space. Proceeds will benefit Hope Association’s Special Olympics program.
