WALES — Lakeside Chapter No. 60, Order of the Eastern Star held its annual meeting and election of officers on March 12 at the Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road. Elected were Jocelyn C. Jervis, worthy matron; Stanton Leighton, worthy patron; Cynthia Holbrook, associate matron; Brett Jervis, associate patron; Violet Gerber, secretary; Clarinda Andrews, treasurer; Elizabeth Leighton, conductress; and Rachel Nadeau, associate conductress.
Members re-elected to the finance board were Yvonne Winslow, Ruth Wheeler and F. Jordan Witherell.
The rehearsal for the installation of officers will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 7.
The next Stated Meeting will be on April 9; ladies are to wear colored gowns with the gentlemen in dark suits. Members will be honoring Gail Morgan, district deputy grand matron of District 4, for her service this year.
On Friday, April 12, Lakeside will hold a public installation of officers at the Masonic Hall at 7 p.m. The Installing Suite will be led by Stephanie J. Dupal, General Grand Chapter committee member of the Youth Committee, and a past grand matron of Maine, and John L. Cousins Sr., General Grand Chapter committee member, public relations, and a past grand patron of Maine. Other members of the suite are Bernald W. Tufts, associate grand patron of Maine, Judith A. Tufts, past matron, and Debbie L. Greim, past matron.
Jocelyn Jervis is a first time worthy matron. By her side will be Stanton Leighton returning for his 18th time.
Ladies will dress in white gowns, the gentlemen in tuxes or dark suits.
Members are reminded that they are responsible for supplying the small edibles for consumption after the installation.
