Ladies Night at Sportsman’s
DIXFIELD — The Webb River Sportsman’s Club will have Ladies Night on Monday, April 1, at the Club House on the Canton Point Road. Supper will be at 6 p.m., followed by a meeting at 7.
Book signing at Mexico Library
MEXICO — Mexico resident Jan Bordeau will take part in a book signing of her recently published fiction book, “Harper Haven,” from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the Mexico Public Library, 134 Main St.
The story, set in rural Maine, is about a young couple who buy a Victorian-style fixer-upper house and upon arrival at their new home discover some uninvited occupants.
There will be some copies of the book available for sale at $10 each, or if you already have your own copy, bring it along for Bordeau to sign.

MEXICO — The Mexico High School Class of 1959 is invited to meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at Dick’s Restaurant.

Workshop with illustrator
MEXICO — An art workshop by graphic novel author and illustrator Ben Bishop will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Mountain Valley Middle School, 58 Highland Terrace.
Among other books, Bishop illustrated “Lost Trail,” the graphic novel version of the Donn Fendler story.
Participants are invited to bring their artwork and will be given time to work on art during the workshop.
