Potluck supper is March 1
NEW PORTLAND — The Western Mountains Baptist Church will host a potluck supper at 6 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the church.

Passport Dinner to India
WILTON — A Passport Dinner to India will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Wilson Grange. The cost is $12 per person.
Chef Frank and Pam Delicious have designed a wonderful menu and the decorators are busy turning the hall into an explosion of color.
The menu will include vegetable curry; aaloo mutter, which is spiced potato and peas; jeera, cumin-flavored rice; naan; and orange mango cardamon spiced rice pudding.

Donations of books for the Wilton Library book sale may be brought to the dinner.
Community lunch March 9
LIVERMORE FALLS — A free community lunch will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the second Saturday of each month from Jan. 12 through May 11 at the American Legion Hall, 17 Reynolds Ave.
The meal includes entrees, sides and desserts. All ages are welcome. The lunch is hosted by Emmanuel Assembly of God in Livermore Falls. For transportation, call 471-3708.
Benefit dance is March 16
GREENWOOD — A St. Patrick’s Day Dance with the Rockin Roadrunners will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, March 16, at the Jackson Silver Post 68, 595 Gore Road. The event is a benefit for Greenwood Fire Auxiliary, Greenwood Fire and Jackson Silver Post 68 Auxiliary. Doors open at 7.
The dance is BYOB; must be 21 years old. Cost is $8 for single, $15 for couple. Pre-sale tickets are $1 less and are available at Greenwood Town Office or by calling Missy at 207-393-7719.
FMH offering scholarships
FARMINGTON — The Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is once again offering health career scholarships. The scholarships will be presented to students in need of financial assistance who reside in Greater Franklin County, including Livermore Falls and Livermore, and are pursuing careers in the health care field.
To be eligible, the applications must be completed and returned by April 15. Applicants must also have been accepted to a school of their choice by that date.
In May, the Auxiliary will select six recipients for the $600 scholarships. The funds will be awarded following the successful completion of the first semester of post-secondary school.
