HARRISON – The Harrison Friendly Riders Snowmobile Club has cancelled its radar run for Feb. 16 for safety reasons.
The club made the decision Friday morning after finding too much water on Crystal Lake.
Henry Hudson, trailmaster for the club, said Friday that although there was enough ice to hold the machines, there was some three or four inches of water on top of the ice that would pose a dangerous situation to drivers who race with speeds more than 100 miles per hour across the lake.
The event will not be rescheduled, he said.
