LEWISTON — Lewiston Public Library is a participating site is this year’s World Book Night, an annual celebration dedicated to spreading the love of reading, person to person. Each year on April 23, tens of thousands of people go out into their communities and give half a million free World Book Night paperbacks to light and non-readers.
Apply now to be a World Book Night book giver and hand out free books at the library.
Sign up by Jan. 23. It only takes a few minutes. Need help? Call the library at 513-3135. Choose a first, second and third book choice from a list of 30 official World Book Night titles; try to pick books you’ve enjoyed. Attend a volunteer celebration the week of April 15. On April 23, along with other volunteers, hand out 20 free copies of your assigned book to members of the community, in Callahan Hall.
