WELD — The selectmen’s meeting scheduled Tuesday, Dec. 18, is cancelled, Town Clerk Carol Cochran said Monday.

She also announced that nomination papers for town positions are available at the Town Office. Up for election in March is a three-year term for a selectman, assessor and overseer of the poor, which is currently held by Nancy Stowell.

Stowell is not seeking re-election, Cochran said.

Also up for election are a one-year term for tax collector and a one-year term for town clerk.

Cochran has held both positions for more than 30 years.

Papers are also available for a five-year term Planning Board position and also the remainder of Nancy Pratt’s position on the Planning Board, which is two years.

Pratt resigned from the board, Cochran said.

Nomination papers must be turned in no later than Jan. 15, 2013.
