Men’s basketball

BRUNSWICK —   Keegan Pieri scored 22 points to lead the Bowdoin College to a 64-58 win over Colby on Friday night, one day after defeating its other CBB rival, Bates.

Bryan Hurley pitched in 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Bowdoin (5-2). Sam Wilson scored 17 points off the bench to lead Colby (2-5).

Colby-Sawyer 73, Thomas 68

WATERVILLE —   Mike Dias dominated the paint with 25 points and 14 rebounds to lead Colby-Sawyer to a 73-68 win over Thomas.

Koang Thok added 21 points for the Chargers (2-5). Levi Barnes scored 22 points to lead the Terriers (4-2).

Maine Maritime 73, Green Mountain 67

CASTINE —   Maine Maritime Academy sank four of six free throws in the final 1:04 of the game to beat Green Mountain 73-67 .

Colby-Sawyer 65, Thomas 50

WATERVILLE —   Taylor DeSanty scored a game-high 27 points to lead Colby-Sawyer to a 65-50 win over Thomas.

Bowdoin 5, Tufts 3

MALDEN —   Bowdoin scored three goals in the first 10 minutes of the second period and remained unbeaten with a 5-3 victory over Tufts.

Senior Daniel Weiniger scored a goal and an assist for Bowdoin to reach the 100 career points milestone (48 goals, 52 assists).

USM 7, SUNY-Potsdam 3

GORHAM –  Troy Thibodeau recorded his first collegiate hat trick Friday as the University of Southern Maine defeated SUNY-Potsdam, 7-3.

Conn. College 7, Colby 2

NEW LONDON, Conn. —   Seven different players scored as Connecticut College pulled away in the second period for a 7-2 victory over Colby.

Women’s hockey

Bowdoin 4, Holy Cross 1

BRUNSWICK —  Four different players scored for Bowdoin as the Polar Bears defeated Holy Cross, 4-1.

Madeline Lane, Stephanie Ludy, Rachel Kennedy and Kim Tess-Wanat all found the back of the net for Bowdoin (4-1). Kayla Lessard made 12 saves in goal. Alex Campione scored the lone goal for Holy Cross (7-5-1).

USM 2, Trinity 1

GORHAM —  Brittany Soar’s goal with 11:57 remaining proved to be the difference as USM downed Trinity, 2-1.
