FRYEBURG — Four local people were arrested Thursday morning in connection with the theft of a firearm from a Fryeburg home.

The firearm was recovered when police arrested Tyler S. Judyski, 24, on one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and Nathan J. Rivers, 22, on charges of receiving stolen property, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs and trafficking in dangerous knives.

Police were executing a search warrant at 524 West Fryeburg Road, where both men were living, when they saw a car driven by Rivers pull up to the house and then continue driving.

Officer Richard Murray, officer Mark Dyer, officer Stephen Witham and officer Michelle Legare left the home and pursued the vehicle.

They stopped the car and found Rivers and Judyski in possession of the gun. Murray said Rivers also had an illegal knife when he was arrested.

Two others were arrested later Thursday morning at 60 Maple St. in connection with the burglary. Arielle Nagy, 24, was arrested on charges of burglary, theft and violating conditions of release. Corey Warren, 27, was arrested on charges of sale and use of drug paraphernalia and theft. He was in possession of hypodermic needles.

Murray said the two were dating.

Murray said Thursday that police believe Nagy stole the gun from a Fryeburg home on Nov. 17, three days after she pleaded guilty in Oxford County Superior Court to stealing her mother’s credit card. Nagy had pleaded to misuse of identification, theft and negotiating a useless instrument charges. She is set to begin her 60-day sentence on Jan. 3. She was given time before the sentence to finish a drug counseling program.

All four people were transported to the Oxford County Jail. On Thursday, Judyski was released on $500 cash bail. Murray said Judyski is also facing felony charges in Florida. The other three remained in custody Thursday.
