Lewiston’s holiday tree travels down Lincoln Street on its way to Dufresne Plaza on Monday morning. After running into height issues, the tree arrived just after noon. It was donated by the Mathieus on Treemount Drive in Lewiston. The tree, set up at Dufresne Plaza, will be lit at the Twin Cities’ joint Parade of Lights which starts at Festival Plaza in Auburn at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26.

“They picked it up like it was a toy,” said Simone Mathieu after watching the removal of Lewiston’s holiday tree from her front yard Monday. The tree weighed 6,500 pounds and measured 47 feet on the truck bed. The tree, set up at Dufresne Plaza, will be lit at the Twin Cities’ joint Parade of Lights that starts at Festival Plaza in Auburn at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26.
