WAYNE — The Cary Library November exhibit will offer favorite quilts and their special stories. A fabulous array of quilts will be on display from Nov. 10-17 at the Williams House across from the library.
Some come from foreign lands, some are antiques including a treasure that is backed with cloth flour bags. There are works of art, a redwork quilt, handmade masterpieces, family heirlooms and some that are just plain gorgeous.
Exquisite fabric art panels created by Wayne’s own brilliant textile artist Joan Chellis will be for sale; come early for the best selection. Priscilla Stevenson’s book about her 1926 redwork quilt, “Safe in a Box in the Attic,” will also be available.
Complimentary coffee, tea and cider will be available.
The exhibit is open, free of charge, Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 4 p.m. For information call Holly Stevenson at 685-9005 or the Cary Library at 685-3612.
