My wife and I are voting for Colleen Quint in Senate District 17 on Nov. 6.

Quint supports public education 100 percent. She would not divert local dollars to private, online or religious schools. She would not siphon taxpayer money from the public education system to be put into the pockets of big, out-of-state owners of online, for-profit virtual schools.

Taxpayers are finding it more and more difficult each year to fund their own schools. We should keep our hard-earned money close to home in our respective school districts.

This is why we will be voting for Colleen Quint.
