AUBURN — Mildred Ileen Stinson, 76, died Sept. 29, at the Hospice House.
She was born May 26, 1936, in Litchfield, to Russell and Edna Black. She graduated from Litchfield Academy and the University of Maine at Bangor. She was most recently a resident at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.
Millie’s interests included family, cooking, music and she devoted much of her time and energy as caregiver to family and friends. She was married to Raymond Nesbit, who is deceased. She married Albert Stinson (separated).
Millie had several jobs during her lifetime including social worker, teacher, child care provider and telephone answering service.
Millie is survived by her son, Michael Stinson and his wife, Sarah; three grandchildren, Brandy Hilliard, Susan Stinson and John Stinson; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Sund, Alexis Hilliard, Michael Harkins and Cayenne Rand; her brothers, Wilton Black, Lester Black and Earl Black; and her sisters, Caroline Allen and Ruth Slosberg.
She was predeceased by a son, Russell Stinson.
