BANGOR (AP) — Police say three pharmacies in the Bangor area reported robberies within about an hour of each other, and a man who attempted to elude police by driving onto a golf course and circling the fairways has been arrested in connection with one of them.

Rite Aid pharmacies in Bangor and Brewer reported robberies within minutes of each other on Sunday, and the pharmacy at a Hannaford grocery store in Bangor was targeted about an hour later.

Bangor police say 46-year-old Jeffrey Macy of Eastbrook has been charged with felony, drug and other charges after being apprehended at Bangor Municipal Golf Course.

Officers responding to a robbery at a Rite Aid at about 3:45 p.m. attempted to stop Macy’s car, but he drove to the course and began circling the 17th and 18th fairways.
