I write in support of a young family man with much leadership experience — Michael Carey — who has represented my Lewiston neighborhood in the state Legislature for the past five years.

He has done that while attending the University of Maine Law School. He has been active with various local boards, having served on the board of Androscoggin Habitat for Humanity and as chairman of the Bates Mill Development Task Force, and now serving as the chairman of the Community Concepts board.

If elected, Mike Carey will use his tested leadership ability for Lewiston, and Maine, in the next Legislature.

Roland Hachey, Lewiston
