AUBURN — All of the Auburn Housing Authority’s building volunteers were honored at the annual volunteer appreciation celebration held at The Green Ladle Cafe at Lewiston High School.

Thanks and gratitude to all of the tenant volunteers was expressed. These volunteers donate many of their precious hours to help plan, coordinate and implement various tenant activities. Some of the activities are setting up games, calling bingo, doing arts and crafts, planning trips, leading exercise groups, library assistance, planning tenant associations yearly functions, planting property flower gardens, organizing quarterly meals along with entertainment and outreach volunteering at area schools.

After lunch, entertainment was provided by friends Paul and Rick who played guitars, a keyboard and sang hit songs from the past. Each volunteer was presented with a gift and other prizes were later raffled off.
