Belanger
LEWISTON — A surprise party was held recently for Gerard and Lorraine Belanger of Lewiston on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. The event was held at Our Lady of Ransom Church Hall in Mechanic Falls and was planned by their children and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Gail Belanger.
Rachel Belanger, daughter-in-law, said a prayer before the meal. Toastmaster was their son, Normand Belanger.
Mr. Belanger and the former Lorraine Rancourt were married June 30, 1962, at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston.
Their children are Normand and Rachel Belanger, Joline Blanchette, Jeannette Montgomery, Anita and Mike Goodwin and Marc Belanger. Their grandchildren are Andrew Michaud, Kelsey Blanchette, Stephanie Belanger, Nate Montgomery, Christopher Belanger, Christine Belanger, Shane Montgomery, Ashlynn Belanger and Rebecca Goodwin.
Mrs. Belanger is retired from Rainbow Federal Credit Union, where she worked for 20 years.
Mr. Belanger is retired from Pioneer Plastics, where he worked for 20 years.
Original wedding guests present were Richard Belanger, Richard Albert and Monique Caron.
