Final breakfast

WATERFORD — The last in a series of four summer breakfasts will be held from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Wilkins Community House next to the church on Plummer Hill Road.  

The full breakfast menu includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, doughnuts, muffins, orange juice, coffee and tea, for  $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 5 to 10.  Children under 5 eat free. 

The Wilkins House basement yard sale will be open from 7:30 to 11 a.m. that day.
 
Proceeds from the breakfast and yard sale go to the building maintenance and improvement funds of the Wilkins Community House and Waterford Congregational Church.
 
Chief to speak
 
PARIS — Norway Police Chief Rob Federico will be featured speaker at the Thursday, Aug. 16, meeting of the Paris Cape Historical Society. He will speak on matters concerning law enforcement.

The meeting, to begin at 7 p.m., will be held at the society’s building at 77 High St. The public is welcome. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

NORWAY — The Weary Club, 385 Main St., will sponsor a morning coffee from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. Members will give those wishing a brief history of the club and discuss membership in the historical organization. ? ?

HARTFORD — The Hartford Community Church Clothing Center will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. The center is located opposite the church.

Jones band at dance

PARIS — Jones Dance Band will play old-fashioned dance music from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Legion Hall. Cost is $5. 

Spiritualist workshop

HARTFORD — Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Camp will present “Harnessing Your Thoughts,” with Barbara Eckhardt, MPI, at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19. Participants will learn how to harness the subconscious mind and merge the subconscious and conscious minds with the super conscious.

A $15 donation is suggested. The workshop will be held at 546 Town Farm Road. In the event of inclement weather, it will be conducted at the Hartford Town Hall, Main Street. For more information, call Penny at 388-3436.

Sunday breakfast

HARRISON — The Harrison VFW, Waterford Road, will hold breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at the post on Route 35. 

The breakfast features scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, biscuits and country gravy, bacon, sausage, home fries, fruit cup, sweet breads, orange juice and beverage. Donations will be accepted.
