I recently found a Sun Journal article from August 2007 describing the efforts of the Mahoosuc Mountain Rescue Team to recover the body of my twin brother, Paul, who died on the Eyebrow Trail in Grafton Notch State Park.
For five years, I have been grieving and searching for answers surrounding Paul’s death. During this process, I never realized, until I read that article, that 25 heroic people, including Bob Baribeau, Toshio Hashimoto and others, risked their own lives to bring my brother home.
It is five years too late, but I want to thank them all for their kindness, compassion and bravery.
