Mexico Library ‘Earth Jams’

MEXICO — As part of the Mexico Public Library’s “Terrific Tuesdays” summer programs for kids ages 2-14, the library will host an exciting interactive musical program, Earth Jams!, with Matt Loosigian, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 24.

Loosigian is a dynamic, spirited performer. He travels throughout New England singing at festivals, fairs, schools, libraries and churches. His performances weave peace and compassion with humor and silliness.

Outlanders theme dinner

RUMFORD — The Outlanders will hold their second “Theme Dinner” Friday, July 27, at Region 9 School of Applied Technology’s cafeteria.

The event is a celebration of world athletes through international cuisine. Social time will be from 5 to 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 5:30. Cost is $10 per plate for adult and $5 for children under 12.

The Outlanders is a collaborative group between University College at Rumford/ Mexico and Region 9 School of Applied Technology’s Adult Education. This group offers community service opportunities to the students, staff and families of each of the institutions.
