Knights to hold supper July 14

JAY — This month’s supper will be held Saturday, July 14, at the Knights of Columbus hall on Main Street. Doors open at noon, serving will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Menu will be pulled pork sandwiches, fruit salad, macaroni salad, vegetables, strawberry shortcake and drinks. The friend of the supper this month is Hillside Sports Club.

Clearwater Lake annual meeting

INDUSTRY — The Clearwater Lake Improvement Association will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, July 22, at the Industry Town Hall. The meeting will start at noon with a potluck dinner.

All members and interested persons are urged to attend. Bring your favorite food dish to share with others. Soda, coffee and water will be available.

Kids classes in clay

JAY — Kids ‘N Clay summer classes will take place on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from July 16-25 at Jay Elementary School.

Kids ages eight and up will learn how to hand build with slabs, coils and how to work with clay on the potter’s wheel. Section A will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. and Section B from noon to 2 p.m.

On the evening of Friday, July 27, there will be a gala artists’opening. Students will have their work on display in the JES Cafe for a special presentation to family and friends.

Tuition is $120 per section and includes all materials and firings. Ten percent discount available for second child in same family. There are some partial scholarships available based on need. For information email Tlindsey@rsu73.org or call Tamara Lindsey at 577-4372.

Club to visit Tripp gardens

FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue Area Garden Club will visit Annette Tripp’s gardens on Bailey Hill at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 17. Tripp has perennial borders, a small vegetable garden and acres of lawns, trees and bushes.

Members and guests are asked to bring a box lunch, a lawn chair and a plant to swap. Desserts and beverages will be provided by hostesses, Judy Loeven, Barbara Bennett and Anita Wright. The meeting will be presided over by Amy Palmer, club president.

Richmonds plan family reunion

MADRID — The Richmond family reunion will take place beginning around noon Saturday, July 21, at No. 6, the normal spot.

Invitations are not being mailed this year, but there is a Facebook page, www.facebook.com/RichmondFamilyReunion.
