WILTON — Paul R. Caldwell Jr. “PJ,” “Skooter,” 23, of Chesterville, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 9, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Paul was born Feb. 28, 1989, in Farmington, the son of Laurie (Judd) Doughty and Paul Caldwell Sr. He was a 2007 graduate of Jay High School. As a young boy, Paul was fascinated by heavy equipment. He spent many hours looking through magazines and could name any piece of equipment. He follows in the footsteps of his grandfather and uncle when he worked at Chesterville Sand and Gravel, a business owned by the Caldwell Family.
Paul loved all things outdoors: hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and snowmobiling. He enjoyed time with friends and family, tinkering on their toys.
He is survived by his mother, Laurie Doughty and her husband, Randy, of Jay; his father, Paul Caldwell Sr. and his companion, Marguerite Cobb, of Chesterville; sister, Misty Martin and fiance, Christopher Guild, of Livermore; sister, Nicole Russell and her husband, Lashon, of Tampa, Fla.; stepsisters, Sarah Gemelli and her husband, Eric, of Jay and Ashley Doughty of Milford; maternal grandparents, Joanne and Walter Daoust of Livermore Falls; paternal grandmother, Joan Caldwell of Jay; and many aunts, uncles, niece, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Lewis Caldwell Sr.; and his aunt, Jean Caldwell.
