HARTFORD — Pinpoint of Light will not hold a church service on May 20.
Pinpoint of Light Center will be suspended for the summer in July and
August, but services and activities will continue at the Pinpoint of
Light Camp.
A program on mediumship development will take place at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at Hartford Town Hall, 1190 Main St.
Bob Foster has been practicing mental mediumship for more than 30 years and has taught classes on mediumship development in many Spiritualist churches in Maine.
A mental medium is one who interprets messages from spirit entities and communicates these messages to people here on earth. This class will concentrate on demonstrating mental mediumship by tuning in to the vibration of spirit and qualifying and identifying that energy. The difference between a psychic and a medium will be explored.
Those attending will learn how to recognize and connect with spirit guides, and take part in exercises that will help develop awareness. Participants are asked to bring an object of their own or that of a loved one to be used in psychometry (soul sensing) exercises.
A $5 donation is suggested but not required.
Prior to the program, Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Center’s Sunday service will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by a potluck lunch. For information contact Robert Foster at 743-2613 or Rev. Penny Frobese at 388-3436.
Mediumship development classes will be held on the second, third and fourth Mondays of each month at 7 p.m. beginning June 11 at the Hartford Town Hall.
Beginning in June, a healing circle will be offered after the Sunday church service to allow those interested in pursuing the practice and understanding of spiritual healing an opportunity to learn and participate in the laying on of hands.
