WINCHESTER, Mass. — Marilyn Ann White, 63, died unexpectedly in her home in Winchester, Mass., Monday, Feb. 27.

She was born June 3, 1948, the daughter of Harold S. White and Helen T. White of Auburn. Marilyn graduated from Edward Little High School in 1966 and Mt. Auburn Hospital School of Nursing in Cambridge, Mass.

Marilyn was beloved by her family and friends. She was a warm and engaging person with a sharp mind and a quick wit. Marilyn was noted for her voracious reading habit, her general knowledge and most of all her pervasive sense of humor and her ability to bring laughter to any situation. She was a joy to be around and touched the lives of many people. She was kind and generous and wholly devoted to her son, Brian. She cherished the brief time she had to enjoy her new granddaughter, Tana. Marilyn left us too soon and will be missed by her son and daughter in-law, her brothers, her many cousins and all her friends.

She is survived by her son, Brian Sherman; daughter in-law, Larena (Rena) Carten and granddaughter, Tana Sherman of Portland; and her brothers, James M. (Jim) White of Orono and Harold S. (Bud) White of Prescott, Ariz.
