The Jesus Party Patriotic Mentor Jerry Der Boghosian gave a special talk to 50 area children, recalling the tragic story of the sinking of the U.S.S. Dorchester as an ongoing project of the children’s ministry to promote God and Country. DerBoghosian focused on the bravery and faith of the four chaplains that were on board 69 years ago who sacrificed their own life preservers so others could be saved.
