AUBURN — A community presentation, “Living with Diabetes: Insights From a Patient,” will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the St. Mary’s Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, 15 Gracelawn. Register by Friday, April 27, by calling 777-8625.

Rob Coburn, a long-time diabetes patient, will share tips and tricks he has learned in his struggle with diabetes. Coburn has founded the fundraising cycling event, Tour de Cure, in Maine. Tour de Cure is a nationwide series of cycling events fundraising for the American Diabetes Association. The Tour de Cure kicks off in Maine at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm on Sunday, June 3.

Seniors plan meeting, trips

SABATTUS — The Sabattus Seniors will hold a meeting and meal on Thursday, May 3, at the Maxwell Hall. Doors will open at 11 a.m. Meal will be a Kentucky Fried Chicken box meal.

Upcoming trips include a lobster luncheon and show in Scarborough on Tuesday, Aug. 21, with a choice of lobster or haddock, for $77 per person; Cape Cod from Aug. 23-26, $469; and Foster Clambake in York on June 17, $55. Everyone is invited.

Let’s Go health event

LEWISTON — 5-2-1-0 de Mayo! will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Lewiston Middle School gym.

Eating right and being physically active can be a challenge in today’s busy world. The fun event will feature demonstrations, activities and resources to help incorporate healthy choices into a family’s routine. There will be free giveaways and tasty snacks to try.

LISBON — Jody’s Weekend Warriors will hold their annual yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event. History Barn open house

NEW GLOUCESTER — The monthly New Gloucester History Barn Open House will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 5. The barn is located behind the Town Hall on Route 231. Admission is free.

Spring exhibits will show antique carriages, veterans’ salute, new acquisitions and historic photographs. Sponsored by the New Gloucester Historical Society.

Bowl for Relay for Life

LEWISTON — A bowl-a-thon to benefit Relay For Life of Androscoggin County will take place Saturday, June 2, at Sparetime Recreation, 24 Mollison Way.

Teams will be made up of five people. The minimum team entry fee is $125. Deadline to enter is Monday, May 21.
