FARMINGTON — A Carthage man was charged Thursday with burglarizing a house in Weld last year, after his DNA was found on evidence at the scene, Franklin County Deputy Nathan Reid said.
Brandon E. Virgin, 24, was charged with felony burglary in the case, Reid said. A small amount of cash was taken in the break-in at the seasonal home on Swett Brook Road.
Virgin has been in jail for several months on unrelated charges and was at the Franklin County jail Thursday to appear at a Farmington court on a different matter, Reid said.
Recent results of DNA tests on evidence taken from the scene last year matched Virgin’s DNA, Reid said.
