LIVERMORE FALLS — Fundraising for this year’s Summer Reading Program has kicked-off with two raffles. Tickets for both raffles are available at the library, from library trustees and at Bailey Brothers. The winning tickets for both raffles will be drawn on History Night, Friday, May 25, at 8 p.m. Winners do not need to be present.
Prizes for the first raffle include a basket of chocolate goodies, a quilt and a framed photograph. The basket contains one slab of thick dark chocolate, a fruit collection in dark chocolate (blueberries, cherries and cranberries), cinnamon-dusted dark chocolate covered almonds, Chocolate Discoveries Chai Tea sampler, two dark chocolate pieces of bark with cherries, cocoa nibs and roasted almonds, and milk chocolate covered cashews and almonds. The quilt is 60 inches by 72 inches, done in green, pinks, dusty rose and cream with a backing of dusty rose print fabric. The color photograph by Cindy Rehagen Langewisch is of garden shrubs. It measures 11 by 16 inches, but with mat and silver frame measures 18 by 24. Photos of these prizes are posted on Facebook. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5.
The second raffle is a 50/50, which means the winner will receive 50 percent of the funds raised by that raffle. Tickets are $1 each, three for $2 or seven for $5.
