People are concerned about saving money. I have some ideas for people.

People can make compost from kitchen scraps and grass clippings, leaves and such (no meat or bones, though).

People can plant gardens and learn how to do canning or freeze the produce.

People should learn to do more cooking instead of buying ready-made foods that are full of salt and sugars.

People can buy big items without using credit cards by putting money into a special savings account, such as a vacation or Christmas club. When the account comes full or has enough, then buy the item(s).

People could try going without coffee and doughnuts for a month and use the money saved for a special night out, a movie or other outing.

If people are cold, they can learn to make a quilt out of outdated clothes. Use an old sheet or blanket for filler and have a sheet backing.

In other words, be creative. Do not wait for the government to provide your needs. Our ancestors had no government aid, not like now, and they managed to survive.
