FARMINGTON — Future Business Leaders of America members at Mt. Blue High School gathered 26 coats for its annual campaign of collecting coats for kids, said member Derek Haley.
This is the 10th year this group of young adults has chosen this service project to benefit the RSU 9 community. The months of January and February were selected to request good used coats for children, teenagers and adults that may be in need of warm clothing.
Members of FBLA created fliers that were posted around the school requesting coat donations. A collection box was set up in the classroom of Priscilla Conner, FBLA adviser. The clothing was donated to the local office of the Children’s Task Force to be distributed to those in need in Franklin County.
