LIVERMORE FALLS — Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Seniors met at Murray Hall on March 26 with 27 attending and Chairwoman Fern Doiron presiding.
Following the open ceremony, Doiron reported that a member since 1973 had died. On the sick list are Joline Pratt, Dot Wilson, Janet Wright, Rita Fuller, Ernie Bickford and Gene Pomerleau.
Celebrating birthdays for the month are Elvina Miller, Marguerite Richardson, Carmen Moreau, Dot Wilson, Margaret Jacques and Norman Doiron.
Pat LaVerdiere, rerfreshment and entertainment committee chairwoman, contacted Jean Doyon to inquire about upcoming trips. A trip to Foster’s Clambake in Wells will take place in September. She quoted a price of about $50. She is considering a train ride through Meredith, N.H., in the fall.
The seniors will hold their Easter meal on Monday, April 2. In order to hold cost down, members have asked two to three people to work on a dish together.
Members received a note from Cynthia Hebert thanking them for the donation to the Friends Together Center in memory of Shirley Couture.
The 50/50 was won by Alice DeMoras and door prizes, donated by Nancy Couture, were won b y Doris Tripp, Gloria Bickford and Joyce Richards.
Refreshments brought by Marielle Labbe, Marilyn Disotto and Jeannine Williams were served. Cards and games were played for the remainder of the day.
Those age 55 or older are invited to attend as a guest or join the group.
